CEMBA History

Short History of CEMBA

Since its inception, the Canadian Executive MBA (CEMBA) program has been geared towards working professionals, including entrepreneurs, managers, and CEOs, providing them with top-tier management education and leadership skills.

1991 The Canadian Management Centre was established at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
1995 – 2000 Operating as the Canadian MBA Office, the Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) studies were launched. In this initial period, the program was a result of cooperation between two Canadian institutions the University of Calgary and the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) and was proudly sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). By the end of 2000, more than 180 students had successfully completed their degrees.
September 2000 Based on a new landmark agreement between the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the ESG - University of Quebec at Montreal (ESG - UQAM), a subsequent edition of the MBA program was officially launched, welcoming its first cohort of 40 students.
March 2017 The Canadian Executive MBA program officially became an AMBA Accredited Program, confirming its adherence to the highest international standards of business education.

Since CEMBA's inception, 870 students across 30 cohorts have successfully graduated from the program. Classes for new cohorts traditionally commence at the beginning of March each year.
