CEMBA RANKED NUMBER ONE FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW

CEMBA was ranked as the best MBA program in Poland by the magazine WPROST. AMBASSADOR COSTELLO OFFERED INVITED LECTURE FOR THE CEMBA CLASS

We had a great pleasure to host in our Cohort XVII class the Ambassador of Canada, His Excellency Daniel Costello. On the 11th of February Dr. Costello offered a lecture to the Economics&Sociopolitical Context of the Firm class. The theme of this lecture was "Multiculturalism and Human Capital in Canada".

GRADUATION CEREMONY 2009: COHORT XIV

Graduation Ceremony for Cohort XIV took place on December 13th, 2009 in the Auditorium I of Building "C", Al. Niepodległości 128.

AMBASSADOR PRESTON IS VISITING LECTURER TO CEMBA

On May 22nd, 2009 CEMBA students attended the lecture by guest speaker, Mr. David Preston, Ambassador of Canada to Poland. The talk covered diverse issues on Canada's and Poland's current economics situation and many other. Ambassador Preston is the member of CEMBA Advisory Board. Read more.

GRADUATION 2008

On December 10th 2008 CEMBA celebrated its annual graduation. The ceremony took place in the magnificent new building C of SGH in auditorium I. The graduates were conferred the MBA diplomas from ESG-UQAM - presented by professor Michel Librowicz. The SGH diplomas of Special Studies were presented to CEMBA graduates by professor Elżbieta Kawecka-Wyrzykowska, Vice-Rector of SGH for International Affairs. The keynote speech was given by dr. Stanisław Kluza, Chairman of the Financial Supervision Authority in Poland. Title of the speech: "Challenges for the financial security network in Poland and in the European Union". His Excellency Ambassador of Canada Mr. David Preston delivered a special address. This year's graduate Katarzyna Pawlak delivered the valedictorian address. More on the event on the graduation page.

CEMBA TEAM IS A REPEAT WINNER OF THE STRATEGY GAME AGAIN

CEMBA team wins annual strategy game the second time in a row! We have the pleasure to inform you, that CEMBA students from Cohort XIII, represented by Jerzy Giersz, Grzegorz Mieszczak, Grażyna Młynarczyk and Katarzyna Pawlak won annual strategic game TEES-6 organised by the Cracow Academy of Economics for the second time in a row. The winners' decoration gala was held on Friday, May 11th, 2007 in Cracow.

MORE ON CEMBA BEING NO.1 IN THE RANKINGS

CEMBA once again ranked No. 1 as the best MBA program in Poland, ex aequo with the University of Illinois. Canadian Executive Master of Business Administration Program (CEMBA) at the Warsaw School of Economics (WSE - SGH) is proud and happy to announce that, according to the Institute of Economic Analysis, CEMBA has been named the best MBA program in Poland. The survey was commissioned by Home&Market Monthly and the results were published on January 27, 2007. The graduates of 29 Executive MBA programs in Poland, who were randomly selected, were asked to participate. Based on their feedback, CEMBA was ranked No. 1, ex aequo with the University of Illinois. The results of the survey prove once again that the Canadian Executive MBA at the Warsaw School of Economics is a top quality program.

MORE ON STRATEGY GAME WINNING BY CEMBA

CEMBA team wins the annual strategy game! After having been nominated the best MBA program in Poland by magazine WPROST (April 2005) another CEMBA SUCCESS STORY. We have the pleasure to inform you, that CEMBA students from Cohort XI, represented by Piotr Czyż, Piotr Adach, Artur Stankiewicz and Robert Szostak have won annual strategic game TEES- 6 organised by the Cracow Academy of Economics. The winners' decoration gala took place in Cracow, September 30th, 2005. The first prize winner CEMBA team was awarded with an LCD monitor. The winners decided to donate it - together with the computer sponsored by CEMBA - to the Orphanage in Ustka, chosen by society "Nasz Dom".

FOR THE RECORDThe traditional Integration Party for the new students of cohort XV took place on October 24th, 2008 at the Canadian Embassy in Warsaw.

• CEMBA students and alumni attended the visiting lecture by professor Leszek Balcerowicz on June 1st, 2007. The topic of the lecture: “ Postcommunist transitions in the comparative perspective.”
• On March 25th, 2006 CEMBA students and alumni attended the lecture by Mr. Rob Britton, Ph. D., Managing Director, Brand Development & Advertising, American Airlines. The topic of the lecture was: "Why Is It So Hard for Established Airlines to Make Money?". It was an interesting talk that covered a lot of grounds - finance, strategy, marketing, human resources.
• On September 23rd, 2005 CEMBA students participated in the visiting lecture by Mr. Steven Poloz, Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist at Export Development Canada. The title of the lecture: "Where does productivity growth come from? Lessons from the North American Experience."
